Penetration Testing

Find your weaknesses before attackers do. We safely simulate real-world attacks to show where you are exposed and exactly what to fix, without the jargon.

Overview

Clear insight into your real exposure

Our penetration testing gives you clear, practical insight into how vulnerable your organisation is to real-world cyber attacks. By safely simulating attacker behaviour, we show how an attacker could move through your environment, what they could reach and the potential impact on your business.

It's not about technical jargon or overwhelming detail. It's about clarity: an objective view of how well your security controls are working, so you can make informed decisions and put your budget where it is needed most.

Every test ends with a risk-rated report, remediation advice your engineers can act on, and a debrief to talk through the findings.

Why test?

  • Evaluate your security posture objectively
  • Identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited
  • Reduce the risk of breaches, losses and legal liability
  • Meet requirements in ISO 27001, PCI DSS, UK GDPR and customer contracts

For MSPs

We provide white-label penetration testing, with reports in your branding and NDAs as standard. Partner with us.

Types of testing

Infrastructure and web application testing

Infrastructure penetration testing

We attempt to breach your core IT systems and network: servers, firewalls, routers, operating systems and databases. Testers exploit unpatched vulnerabilities, weak passwords and privilege escalation, and attempt to move laterally once inside.

Web application penetration testing

We test the web apps and APIs your business relies on for flaws such as cross-site scripting, SQL injection, remote code execution, authentication bypass, account takeover and business logic errors.

Wider scope on request

Depending on scope, testing can cover custom and commercial applications, APIs, mobile apps, thick clients, cloud services and IoT web interfaces.

Risk-rated findings

Each finding is rated by its real impact. For example, account takeover on a sensitive admin portal is critical, while the same flaw on a marketing site may be low risk.

Proof of concept

Where useful, we demonstrate how an attacker could exploit a weakness, so the risk is clear to everyone.

Remediation advice

Plain-English guidance for every issue, and a retest to confirm fixes are effective.

How it works

From scoping to retest

  1. Scope

We agree targets, rules of engagement and timing around your business.

  2. Test

Accredited testers simulate real attacks, safely and in a controlled way.

  3. Report

A risk-rated report with an executive summary and technical detail.

  4. Fix and retest

We talk through the findings and retest once fixes are in place.

Questions

Penetration Testing FAQs

How often should we have a penetration test?
At least once a year, and after any significant change such as a new application, office move or infrastructure upgrade. Many standards and customer contracts require annual testing.
Will testing disrupt our systems?
Tests are planned and controlled to avoid disruption. We agree timing with you and can test outside business hours where needed.
What's the difference between a vulnerability scan and a penetration test?
A scan automatically finds known weaknesses. A penetration test uses skilled testers to exploit them, chain them together and show what an attacker could actually achieve.
Do you retest after we fix the issues?
Yes. We retest to confirm each finding has been properly resolved.
